Hello, recently I've been trying to collect a certain edition to all Philip Roth's books, the Vintage editions with front covers that look similar to www.amazon.com/American-Pastoral-Philip-Roth/dp/0375701427/ref=sr_1_1 and www.amazon.com/American-Pastoral-Philip-Roth/dp/0375701427/ref=sr_1_1. Since this site generally uses ISBN numbers to catalog the books and that doesn't always change when an edition changes, I have to PM each member whose book is next in line to trade and ask if their edition is the same as the one I want. This presents a problem...if the first member in the book's trade queue does not have the edition I want, I have to wait and constantly check to see if that person traded it so I can check with the next person in the queue. I was wondering if there was an easier way to go about this...like maybe a way to see all the members who have a certain book.
Thanks |

Can you add a Requester Condition that details the exact version you are looking for? Then if their copy doesn't match they can deny your RC and you are moved along the FIFO line (if it is available) or their copy is moved along the WL line and you retain your spot waiting for the copy you want. |

You could post in the genre forum - that you are looking for a specific book. I don't think there is a way to tell who has it on their bookshelf . |

@Melanie -- That sounds like a good idea. I will try that. Thank you. |

You can also search boxer shelves without being a boxer. Obviously it won't show you every person who has that book posted. But if some are boxers then you can try PMing them and then order directly from them if they have the one you are looking for. |
