Not as exciting as when my book travelled back in time to 1982, but...

Well, it is October. Seems appropriate.  :-)

Good luck in getting your book from the nth dimension!

The book isn't about military intelligence, is it?

Oooh, does that mean it is near the CIA HQ, and if they told you, they'd have to kill you? :-)

I've seen that before too. I wonder how that is? If they scan the book, they have to know where it is. How can it possibly be unknown?

McLean is in the greater DC area so perhaps it's taking it's turn at the xray treatment facility. I lived near DC from 2000-2005 and after the anthrax scare, they started picking zip codes randomly where for a month all your mail would get irradiated.  When it arrived, envelopes would feel like they'd been baked in an oven and packages looked like they had been examined for alien infiltration!  It could delay delivery for 3 weeks or more.   One Christmas all our cards arrived in FEB cause they'd picked December to torture our mail!!!  Very disappointing for the kids when presents from the relatives were so late!

Are you serious, Jeanne?  It sounds almost too crazy to be true!  Though, now that I think of it --  my folks live outside of DC and, a few months back, some first class packages took over 2 weeks to get to me in Chicago...hmmm...

I just checked on the DC details for a book I've mailed from NY to this same area in Virginia.  The book is now in California.  Hmmmm.....

I think that someone in Denver really likes the book I sent but is a slow reader.  Either that or there are a few people in Denver who like the book and it gets passed around to all the workers.  Hopefully the book will make its way to Arizona at some point.

:) I'm in Northern VA...most of my books past through an Unknown facility as well, likely the same one.  I think it's probably the Dulles area facility.

I'd rather the unknown location than what I'm dealing with now...I have a book coming my way that has spent the last two weeks making a loop between Capital Heights, MD & Jersey City, NJ.  It was back in Capital Heights, again, two days ago.  I'm waiting to see if it turns up in Jersey City again or finally makes it to my mailbox.  Crazy!
