So a WL book came up and I accepted the offer. Today I got a PM with this message: Hello, I'm getting ready to send out your book by Tuesday, I just wanted to make sure you know that it's not in the greatest condition. It's not torn or missing pages or nothing, but I have had for it a few years, and it looks well read. Also, the back lower left corner has a stain that was actually on it when I got it from an aunt of mine, we never knew what it was. I hope this is okay, if not, please let me know and I will not send it. It is still quite readable, however, so if you don't mind the condition then I will be quite glad to send it to you and wish you happy reading. I was thinking that I might not want it because I kind of feel that it does not meet the PBS guidelines. I would like to repost the book when I am done with it. If I tell her to cancel on her end I know she is just going to try and repost it. Which means it will come back to me. If I deny it I lose my spot in line. Is there any way to do this with me losing my spot or me being offered the same book over? Also do you feel it meets PBS guidelines? Because if it does then we can forget the above question. Let me know if my question is not clear. |

Hi Kristina, the stain makes it unpostable since the guidelines say "no stains." She should cancel so that you do not lose your place in line. Perhaps you can coax her into posting it in the Book Bazaar?

If that "stain" on it is a liquid stain of any kind, then, no, it's not postable in the PBS system. You may refer her to the posting guidelines and have her check it over according to them. See if she'd agree to return your credit if you get the book and don't feel it's in postable condition. |

being that is has a stain on it it is not allowed to be posted. I would send her a pm explaining this to her and maybe you can work something out like you order a different book from her and get the wish listed one free. |
