so I got book image uploading happy last night, and uploaded pretty much all the covers on my WL b/c most of them were still blank.  all of them were approved and they all show up when I look at my WL from the My Account - My Lists - My WL page.

BUT when I look at the actual listing of the book, the image is still not there. Therefore if someone else is looking at my WL or looking up the book themselves, the cover is still blank. Why is this? It looks like it has been approved since I can see it through my account, but it's not there in the actual listing.  It looks like that happened for 4 of the books. I didn't get a PM stating that they weren't approved either.

I bet the images are still in your computer's cache and that's why you see them.  On the page you see the pictures, hit the reload/refresh key on your browser.  See if the pictures are still there.  If they are, clear out your cookies and your cache, close your browser window and open a new one.  Then try the page again.

You did use the "upload book covers" link from the bottom of any PBS page to upload the images?  Not the upload link on the edit book data page?

I saw nearly 20 books on your wishlist without covers--not looking at the book descriptions themselves, just the wish list.

My question for you would be "What size were the images that you uploaded?" If you click the More Options button in the upper right corner of any book's detail page, one of the choices is "Edit Book Data" after you click that, slide to the bottom of that page, you will see 3 sizes of images. If you did not upload images larger than the smallest image size, you may not see an image when you look directly at the book.

If you are using IE right click on any image, and click on PROPERTIES, at the bottom of the flyout menu. This will give you the dimensions of the image. I'm not sure if the same is true for FF but I'm sure there's a way to see it if that's not the way for FF.

The average suggested size for an image to show in all instances on PBS is between 290-325px wide and 475-500px tall. So, the properties box would say something like "300 x 500 pixels"

Another thing to do, after uploading an image, is to be sure to hard refresh (in IE it is CTRL+F5, again not sure about FF) anywhere you still see the blue icon. This causes your browser to update to the new image instead of holding on to the old one.

If someone with FF would fill in the blanks above for me, I'd appreciate it.

In Firefox it is just F5.
