I posted a Latin Workbook and the listing that comes up on PBS for this ISBN says it comes with a pronunciation CD.  I don't have this CD.  When I look the book up on amazon (same ISBN) it says it is just the book and no CD.  The book was requested so I private messaged the requester to see if they just want the book and no CD but they haven't replied.  I'm supposed to mail it tomorrow.  Should I delete the listing since I don't have the CD?  What would you do?

As someone who's bought school/textbooks for my kids, I'm aware of the conundrum involved with the additional materials that could be or might not be included when buying them used.

Amazon listings sometimes have a blurb on the product detail page that mentions that used books might not come iwth additional materials (CD's, DVD's, access codes, etc.)

See link: http://www.paperbackswap.com/help/help_index.php?atl=t    PBS further complicates the situation by this statement, found in their help docs under not allowed:  " Books that originally had accompanying media material, if the accompanying media are not included."  However, most folks offering and receiving school textbooks usually understand and accept when the accessory materials aren't included/ or are missing.

However, when it comes to Foreign Language texts and workbooks, there is more likely a need for the additional materials, such as  CD's and DVD's.

So, in your case, if I didn't hear back from the requestor in time to mail the book (give them a few more hours), I'd cancel the request and tell them why.

If the listing says that the book comes with the CD, and your book never had a CD, then you shouldn't use that listing to post your book. Instead, you can create a custom listing by posting your book without an ISBN from the yellow bar on the Post Books page.

It's possible that there are 2 editions of the book, one without a CD and one with, sharing the same ISBN. Or it's possible that the listing here is wrong. If you do a Google search for the ISBN with the word "CD", you may get an idea which is the case. If the book was never published with a CD with that ISBN, it's possible that the listing can be edited.

What's the ISBN?
