I had a book requested that was not marked mailed by the time allowed. So I guess it rolled over to the next one in line.
But this morning I get a message from the first person saying "I mailed this book yesterday morning. I have no problem doing this when the book arrives, but what do I do about the book still showing as being requested by me to the next one in line? What if this second person sends me the book as well? I DO NOT want two copies. |

If the second person hasn't printed the label yet, you would have a cancel button and can cancel the transaction. If they have printed, you could PM them and ask if they could not mail if they didn't already buy postage. If they can't cancel it and send it on, then you don't have to credit the first sender according to this help doc.

Thanks for the quick reply Jenna. I went and cancelled the request, so hopefully I'll received the first book and all will be good. |

When you receive the first copy, you mark it received in your Transaction Archive. Please do not "gift" a credit. Using the Transaction Archive creates a record that PBS can see.
You can find the Transaction Archive on both your pull down My Account menu and on your My Account main page.

Very good information Emily. So when I receive the book, I go to the Transaction Archive and mark it received from there. Then the sender will get her credit that way, correct? That's so good to know, otherwise I would have just gifted the credit to her. Thanks! |

Yes. The sender gets the credit. You have some RWAP options. And this helps PBS, as they can easily see if a member has a history of late mailings. |
