I sent a book to someone in Florida and just checked the "details" popup on the main account page, and saw the following:
Does anyone know what this means? Was it delivered to someone in Goshen, or is it still at the post office? Is it lost? Not to mention, how could this happen? Thanks for any information! |

I think it means it got sent to the wrong post office. Once they get it in the correct bin, it will get to where it is supposed to be going. |

That's encouraging, but what does "arrival at unit" mean? That sounds like it went to a Goshen address. |

Arrival at Unit means it showed up at the Goshen P.O. Someone there looked at the address, said "this isn't for us" and scanned it as Missent before they put it back in the mail stream to get resorted and sent to the right place. Check again in a few days and you should see scans showing it en route to the correct destination. |

Thanks everyone! It has now been re-routed and is heading to where it belongs. |

I did not have this experience. I mistakenly reversed two numbers of the zip code. While it was only a few miles within the right zip the post office refused to deliver it. They said it was to be sent back to the sender. It's been months and the books neither arrived at the recipient's address even though that part was correct nor returned to me. And, before anyone asks yes the receiver has kept checking to no avail. |
