I have a small and fat paperback, and from folding open during on the second half of the book, the spine is about 1/2 loose on the inside, from the front of the book. The other half is really secure, and when the book is opened, even moreso. Still ...

Would this book be ok to post? - I wouldn't mind if I got it, personally, but it does seem to go against the guidelines.

I would say no it isn't postable.

Binding:

Must be intact, with no separation on the inside or outside of the book
If the book tends to open at a particular page, this is OKAY
Small amount of fraying or denting at top or bottom is OKAY
