My husband has been on this hunt for books for our daughter. She only wants him to read to her at night (makes me a little sad) and so he goes out of his way to buy her new books because he hates to feel like he's reading the same 5 books over and over neverending.

So he handed me two Dora The Explorer books a minute ago and told me they are doubles and i can post them.

Well, on the back of both of them, in a little white box it says...

This book is part of a package (and then lists the ISBN numbers) and is not sold separately.

The ISBN's on both books are identical. They are apparantly Children's Book Of The Month Club selctions.

So, i suppose this means that in order to post them (with ISBN's) i have to have all 4 books that are pictured on the back and get one credit for all 4 of them? (Which i don't have all four of them as doubles... i'm not even sure i have all four of them as they are yard sale or thrift finds.)

I suppose alternatively i can post them without ISBN's. But i had never heard of a 'package deal' that shared ISBN's before. That's kind of annoying... has anyone else run into that before?

You might check the ones these are duplicates of, perhaps the others have individual ISBNs.

I've come across book sets that shared one isbn, usually in the reference genre, but not yet in childrens books.

Some "boxed set" have a boxed set ISBN and not individual ISBNs.  Don't list them as having an ISBN that isn't on the book, but you coud list them as non-ISBN books.

What does the system have listed under that ISBN? That is what you can post by that ISBN and anything else you need to post as without an ISBN or put in the Bazaar to see if someone wants it (unless Laura has already snapped them up:))

I had a kids book like that.  The IBSN pulled up another book that was VERY similar, so I just posted it without the ISBN

They come up listed as a boxed set. I just checked. I never knew a boxed set would come up AS a boxed set... well i will just list them as non-ISBN books i guess. Oh well. =)

I appreciate everyone's help!
