I just got done reading the help docs for what marks are acceptable on a book. I don't see anything regarding this: I have a book that has a 1" black marker line on the bottom of the book along the edges of the pages. Like someone picked it up off a shelf, took a marker and ran it across 1" of the pages from the spine to 1" over. The black marker has not seeped onto the text pages. Otherwise the book is in pristine condition. The help docs don't tell me if this book is 100% postable. Can anyone help? |

Stacey, That is a remainder mark and a book with one is postable. |

Remainder marks are put on books to show they are discounted or overstock when bookstores mark them down. They are postable. |

Thanks Mary and Shelia! I had no idea that mark was actually intentional! I thought someone swiped it with a marker in error. Thank you so much for your replies! I've been here at pbs for 4 or 5 years now and am still learning new things all the time. I knew I could come here and get an accurate, friendly answer from the experts! Thanks again! |
