Looking in my bookshelf, I see beside some of my books a red circle with a green checkmark inside with the above notice. What does it mean? |

That is a book you currently have on hold. When your Books to be Reposted list was moved over to your bookshelf, they were automatically put on hold. To post the book, mark the checkbox to the right of the book and then select the Post button (at the top or bottom of the page). |

Janice - that is a new system the site is using. Those are book that were on your To Be Posted list (normally the books you've ordered at one time). Last week R&R combined our bookshelves with that list. You can sort by posted and not posted if you choose. |

You can also delete them by checking the box next to all of the hold ones and then hitting delete up top. Make sure you don't accidentally check a posted book though so you don't lose your place in the FIFO line. I deleted all my hold books. Half of them were ones that I had sent out in deals. It only takes a few seconds to post a book so I just deleted them. |

my question is can people browsing your shelf see your hold books? |

they should not be able to Joanne. I looked at your shelf and it shows 107 books that I could request, does that sound about the right number? |

No, they only see your posted books. One cool little feature here is that if you want to see how your shelf/profile looks from other people's perspective, you can click on "public profile" (right under the yellow bar on your "my account" page,) and everything you see there is as if you were looking at your acct from the outside. I don't think there's a way to do this if you don't have a profile, though. (To make a profile, click on "my account" and then "settings.") |
