Was looking to try out new authors. This looked possible but I am trying to find out if it is a series with the same cast of character. Do I need to start with book #1? Anyone know?

I totally love this series.....I do think it would be enormously helpful to read in order, but not absolutely required.

There are a lot of characters in Sigma Force, and not all play equal roles in all books. Some books feature 2-3, with others playing less active roles, and the next book will mention those, but 2-3 others are more involved. Plus they all have relationships, and there are constant references to their past adventures and to each other.

I will say I found the most recent couple in the series a little disappointing. I still read them, and enjoyed them, but somehow thought they just were not as good as some of the others. Maybe it's just me and/or over-exposure. I still read and re-read them all!!

And, I think Rollins has started a new series with a woman author. It's not Sigma, but similar, and I did not think it was anywhere near as good. Gets more into the "romance" area.
