I have heard that Douglas Bond makes some good boys books. Never read any of them though. The Left Behind Childrens series is pretty good as well. |

sugar creek gang is a great series for boys and have been reprinted many times for many years. author is Paul Hutchins. my boys also love timeline graphics books, but finding those at a reasonable price is a long shot. have you tried Hank the Cowdog series, the Magic Tree house series? one of my 8 year olds just finished a condensed version of Moby Dick and he is in LOVE with it. I know the story from just hearing him tell it to me in excited enthusiasm. |
