I have a book that someone requested from me, but I just discovered that there is a possible problem with it.  As I was checking it over to be sure it was in satisfactory condition, I noticed that the page in front of the title page has been torn out, and I have no idea if it was a blank page or something more.  I purchased it at a FOL book sale.

I would like to contact the requestor to let them know, as I don't want to accept the request without informing them.   Is there any way to do this?

Thanks Much

When you are looking at the page that shows books requested from you, you should see a PM button. I have used it before for situations like yours.

Pat,

I went back to take another look, and I don't see a PM button at all.  I only see the options that I cannot mail the book, I can mail within 2 days or I can mail later...

In this situation, I would go ahead and accept and choose the maximum mailing date.  That would make the PM button show up.  I would PM them to let them know of the problem and to ask if they would still like the book or if they wished me to cancel.  If there was no response from them by the time to mail I would go ahead and cancel the order myself.

Hmm....maybe I'm thinking it's after you say "I can mail the book".

Yes, the PM button only appears once you've accepted the request--there's no way of knowing who is requesting it or contacting them before you do that.

Thanks for your help.  I have pm'd the requestor.  Now I'm waiting for the response.
