I entered the isbn, title and author and nothing showed up.  I don't want to post it till I know if it is wl.  I gave it a name to save search... but how do I get it to show me my saved searches?

Go to Search --> All Books nad then you will see a "Saved Searches" tab.

Try searching on just the ISBN. If the ISBN is not in the database, searching for it can trigger it to be added. So, it might be in there now, from your previus search.

Sometimes on books, the titles and/or authors are entered incorrectly. So, searching for all three pieces of info could lead you to have no results, if the title is different or the author is different from what you entered. The ISBN is either in the database or not, though. No ambiguity there.

It might be easier to check Wish List status by adding it to your TBR pile. Sometimes the search function doesn't return things that are in the system, but on the TBR you just type in the ISBN to add it, then you can see a W or not and click into the book details to see the number of wishers.

weird, very weird

Did what both of you suggested-  went to add to my tbr and nothing happens.

Tried Saved Search -  got 10,000 books showing of all kinds...

Went to search, added isbn, nothing, added name and isbn, nothing, added isbn, name and author, nothing...

Just searched name and voila- there it is-

problem was I typed the isbn from the back of the book- 081745763                                                                                                                            but the isbn is 0817405763 (which it says inside the book)   groan, lol

Thanks for all you help!!

If you are searching by ISBN, you don't need to add the author or anything else. There is only one entry for each ISBN in the system. As others have said, sometimes books have the authors or titles spelled wrong in the system, so searching for all three could throw back no results.
