So here's something I've always wondered about--

What's the deal with the star book ratings in PBS? I understand that when they're yellow, they're indicating what I've actually rated the book to be. I've always assumed that the blue stars indicated a club average-- if so, why do so many books in the top 50 lists have no blue stars at all? Surely if they're so popular, somebody's ranked them something...

Can anyone clarify??
