I was recommended this book via a sculpture professor. It "blends a hsitory of tea and the Japanese tea ceremony with descriptions of Taoism and Zen...teh result is an eloguent treatise on tea and the aesthetics of Japan." (back cover) I appreciated the subtle ties of eastern culture and western ways.
