I recall reading an email from PBS once that we could use the system to print wrappers for books we were sending to someone outside of the system. I have I book I wanted to mail to my sister and I would like to use the PBS system to print one of those handy-dandy wrappers, but I don't know how to go about it.

Am I remembering correctly, or is there a way to do this? If anyone knows, please let me know. My sister really really wants this book, so I don't want to wait.

Thanks!

Go to your bookshelf and click on the book you wish to send.

When the information page for your book opens, thre will be a "Mail to a friend" link above the +Reminder button.

ETA:  If the book is wishlists and you don't want to actuallly post it.. you can click on ANY book on your shelf and use the Mail to a friend option.

Then, once you send the book, you can repost the book you "used".

To add to Lita's post: You can also "post" a heavily-posted book (my fave to use is Angels and Demons), and send "it" to your sister. That way, you won't lose your FIFO position for the book already on your shelf.

I wouldn't use a book already on your shelf because then you'll lose your place in FIFO.  I use a dummy book (I usually use something from an author I know is heavily posted-Danielle Steel, Nora Roberts etc..,)

There is also the option to use custom DC.  That prints out a label with a eDC.
