this guy got my book and mailed me this
I requested isbn #0374531102. I received isbn #0486431681. I'm curious of how you want to resolve the situation.
It's the same book both paperbacks just different covers as far as I can see? Is this even worthy of having to give them a credit book or something? I don't even know what I'm supposed to do. I think I kept typing the isbn when i was posting it but it kept saying it was wrong so i copy+pasted it off amazon but clearly I took the wrong one. Does it really matter what cover you receive...?
plus it says when you post a book "Please note: book cover image shown does NOT need to match your book." Last Edited on: 7/18/10 9:33 PM ET - Total times edited: 2 |

Yes, you have to give the credit back. When you posted the book, you promised that the author, title, ISBN and book type on the listing you used all matched the book you actually had. Since you sent the wrong book, you give the credit back. Those are the rules. It doesn't matter why he wanted the other ISBN or whether it's really the same book inside or whether both are paperbacks or not. People do have reasons why they want one book over the other, and they're entitled to get what they ordered. To refund the credit, go to your Transaction Archive, click on Request Details for this transaction, then click on the Give Refund button there. |

Yes, if you sent a book with the wrong ISBN on it, you need to return his credit. On PBS you must match exactly the Title,ISBN, Author and binding Type. You cannot just post to another ISBN because it looks like the same book. the cover doesn't have to match what the system shows for the ISBN, but sometimes people order specific ISBNs because they have different features (like covers) that is why the site requires us to post only to an ISBN that is on the book. It also says this when you post: Confirm that your book matches the information in the Book Listing Preview
