Originally book was included with a kit to make a book with. You can read this book to learn the history of bookmaking. Includes information about history of paper, history of writing, illustration in books, different ways books were made in the past and present. There are full instructions for making your own book with a hand sewn binding. You do not need the kit. The powder paste that was in the original kit can be substituted with other pastes or different glue adhesives. You are not missing out much by not having the full kit.
