I have several books on cassettes on my bookshelf. Many are very good books and I would love to share them, but I know this is a dying form. I no longer can even listen to them in my car!

SO, If you want some good stories (I think mostly mysteries), PM me and for one credit you can take any and all of them.

Next week, I will remove them and donate them to the library sale.

Hi Charlene,

Thanks for the generous offer - I'm requesting:

The Ghostway by T. Hillerman

Selected Stories by J. Archer

I'm sending a PM as well - PM back and let me know how you want me to send the credit.

Ann Marie

Just as an aside, I'd like to put an idea out there for anyone that thinks cassettes are old fashioned.

Of my 3 vehicles, 1 car has both a CD and cassette player - one has only a cassette player and the other only has a CD player.

I much prefer the cassettes because you can pick right up where you left off if you take the cassette out of the player or want to rewind to re-listen.

Most CDs you have to go back to the begining of a track if you take it out of the player or need to go back to catch something you didn't hear or missed the first time.

So, if you listen to audios and want to take advantage of great deals on PBS because members think no one wants cassettes anymore .... do what I did ... go to a thrift or Goodwill and for $1 or $2 dollars, pick up a portable cassette player, sit it on the seat next to you and listen to your hearts content.  You can also get a Walkman,  but I don't like having the buds in my ears when I'm driving.

You don't have to wait for the CDs that never seem to get listed - even older titles ... instead get the cassette that's probably been waiting to be chosen on PBS forever.

Just my 2 cents. :)
