Other than the Terri Blackstock series, are there any other Christian writers whose main characters are police or firefighters?  I saw two books by one man recently at Lifeway and cannot for the life of me remember his name or the books' names.  They were more recent releases--I do remember that.  I knew I should have written these down.

Aftrer 30 minutes of searching through CBD, you are correct, Deborah.  I have added them to the Wish List.  But, I don't expect to get these any time soon.  Not much is shaking loose through the system for me these days.

Jerry Jenkins just came out with a new book about a policeman called The Brotherhood.

Also Chris Wells has a few with policemen.  I have read Tribulation House and enjoyed it.   They do have some comedy elements to them.  I think they are all available in the system now too.

Depending on what type of police read you are looking for:

Mel Odom - NCIS series    very good.  I have read all in the series

Steven James has a series on a FBI agent, Bowers Files.  Very good series.

Irene Hannon has the Heroes of Quantico series - FBI

Dee Henderson is another author you might want to look at.

ETA: Didn't Karen Kingsbury write a 2 books series about the firemen of 9/11 ?

If you read the Love Inspired Books there is a series about the Flannigans that are a fire fighting family. I has about 8 or so books in the series.

Chris, you need to join us in the Christian Fiction games!  We shake wished listed books out pretty frequently.  I second the Bower's Files series.  I can't wait for the next one to come out!  You might also like this series:

Shellie is right. Karen Kingsbury wrote the 9/11 series about firemen. One Tuesday Morning, Beyond Tuesday Morning, Every Now and Then are the titles.

Dee Henderson did a great series. The O'Malley series and they are all about different law or government people. One is a hostage negotiator, one is a paramedic, one is a fireman, one is a US marshall, etc. They are really good and you definitely want to get the whole series if you read them. Excellent books.

Also, not nec. firemen or cops but Ronie Kendig has a great series about Discarded Heroes. They are former military who have been discharged for smoe reason. One is suffering from PST. They are highly wish listed though. The Dee Henderson books are available.

Khristy, thanks for the invitation.  How do I play, and where do I go to look into this?

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.  Even though I didn't give all the info I should have, the Shawn Grady books were the ones I was looking for.  I don't necessary just want to read about police and firefighters.  I saw the two books Grady has put out, though, and they looked pretty good.  I knew I could come and ask about those kind of books and get his name as I had forgotten it after seeing the books at Lifeway.  Right now, I have one of them on the way to me.

Susan May Warren has a contemporary series with at least one of the books featuring a firefighter (I don't have the others in the series so I'm not sure if they feature law enforcement as well), but it's the female protagonist, not the hero! I think the book I'm referring to is called The Perfect Match. I may be wrong though, I don't have the book near me.
