I'm going to fix this, but since I laughed so hard when I saw it, I thought I'd post it here as an example. The book is Judge Dredd: The official movie adaptation. It's the graphic novel version of the movie. I have the only copy. It's listed under three subjects. First, Comics & Graphic Novels >> Publishers >> DC Comics It belongs in the category. It is a Graphic Novel and it was published by DC Comics. Second, Reference >> Foreign Languages Ok, as far as I can remember there are no foreign languages mentioned in the book. Even if there were, I doubt a 64 page graphic novel would be much use in learning a new language. Third, Cooking, Food & Wine >> Baking For the life of me, I can't figure out how anyone could put this book under baking of all things. I've seen some really bad placements of books within categories, but this one takes the cake. Can anyone top it?

It's a little early to declare, but I think that's got to be my big laugh of the day. Now I have an episode of "Cooking With Dredd" playing out in my head. I guess it should be in German or something, too. I'll have to work on that lol.

When I explained the situation under "contact us", one book was changed to "all ages" (I believe it was), and the other had the age thing removed entirely. Last Edited on: 7/5/08 5:31 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Tim-- In case it is helpful, any time you see a book with more than one subject listing, that data has been drawn automatically from someplace (like Amazon). Once a "human" on PBS edits the data, there will only be 1 subject heading assigned to it -- that's just how the system works. As to how Amazon or other sources classify graphic novels as cooking ... your guess is as good as mine. Maybe its a "hot" story? :-) Cheers, Catt |
