Does anyone have deals on books for middle school boys?  I'm at a complete loss as to what they like to read and need quite a few.  Thanks!

I teach high school and have found the boys mentioning some of these as former favorites.  Hope this helps.

The Outsiders by Hinton

Anything by Gary Paulsen--like Hatchet

Holes--by Sachar (a bit young for 7th and 8th graders) or anything by this author

Any book by Avi

Eragon by Paolini

Any novel by Paul Zindel

Books by Spinelli, like Maniac Magee

Tangerine by Bloor

Chris Crutcher is a good YA sports author

Monster by Walter Dean Myers (all books by this author are more appropriate for older mature boys)

I have these and would be happy to offer a 2/1 deal on them:

Oh, I smoke and have nearly two cats, in case you have requester conditions. :)

The Dark is Rising :: Susan Cooper

Greenwitch :: Susan Cooper

The Grey King (The Dark is Rising, Bk 2) :: Susan Cooper

The Divide :: Elizabeth Kay

The secret school :: Avi

Walker of Time :: Helen Hughes Vick

Kristen,

I have Sounder (Wikipedia calls it a young adult novel) and The White Fox Chronicles (Gary Paulsen) in fiction.  Also The Indian in the Cupboard and The Return of the Indian by Lynne Reid Banks depending on reading level.

Also non-fiction books on raising snakes, dogs, hermit crabs or ferrets.

If you find anything else of interest I will do 3/1.
