I've been through a lot of shelves lately and noticed a whole bunch of people's who are missing pictures of books and descriptions.

I've got some free time for the rest of the summer so I'm offering to fill in the gaps in your shelf. :) All you need to do is reply to this thread and I'll go on first come first serve basis and send you a PM when I'm done.

Some of you might be asking why would I want this done? Because books with pictures and descriptions are more likely to be ordered than those that are lacking these items. I'm hoping it helps move some books for people.

Now I'm doing this because I love PBS, but if you'd like to donate a credit than it would be, of course, greatly appreciated, but I'm doing this w/ no expectation of recieving something (except a thank you and helping PBS) in return.

Wanna do mine?  Actually if you could just tell me how to do it I could do it myself.  When I try it tells me that another pic is waiting approval.  But nothing ever happens??

I saw this on Book Bazaar so I started adding pictures to my books.  Since I've started I moved to books that were on the shelf long time without.  So it works!

how do you do this???  i would like to have tis done on my account....... i am able to do this for myself if you let me know how.  i do not even know if i have any or not, i have never done anything to them.

I edited the original reply to include a list of people waiting. I'll put a line through the name when I've completed their shelf so you'll know how long until it's your turn.

I hope to get through 2-3 shelves a day unless I run into a rather large shelf. I'll also send a list of everything I added/edited and couldn't find via PM when I'm done.

For any books pics/info I can't find I'm making a list so I can continue to look for them while moving on to others' shelves, but I'm searching the web very hard to find this info before adding a book to this list.

 Edit:  Also edits have to be approved by moderators so it may take a bit for the new data to start showing up once something is edited.

I uploaded some cover pics awhile back but just don't have time right now.  If you don't get to mine no problem, I'll get to it eventually.  I at least try when I put a book on my wishlist to upload the cover if it's not available.

Yes, I said if they wanted to donate they can. I don't see anything wrong with that. I've made it clear I don't expect anything. But I'm not going to argue with you. If you don't like/need my offer then just move along. :)

Thanks for offering to do this for people - I love to see pictures with the books on a shelf.  I have uploaded pics for my shelf (a couple of times for some of the stubborn ones that are also terminally "awaiting approval") and I even want to shop from my own shelf!  ;-).

(P.S. I don't think that there is anything wrong with saying that if a person felt like they wanted to, they could bump you a credit for doing the work.  Some people wouldn't take you up on the offer as a free favor but would love to "compensate" you for your time - especially a stranger or someone who wasn't one of your PBS friends.)

I would love it if you could do mine. I went through and tried to do it myself. I spent hours on it and for some reasons none of my changes took. I'm so frustrated with it now, I probably wouldn't try to work on it again for months. I have an ARC deal going in the bazaar and I'd love to send you a free ARC in exchange for this help. Thanks!
