Are there any others out there who start a book and then start another one and another one.  I have so many started and they are all really good books.  But, there always seems to be a certain time that the Lord has for me to read a specific one.  And when I find it, I devour it and always learn something from it. Just wanted to know if there are others out there that find this to be true for them too.

Yep, you don't know how many books I've tried to read.

Ya me too.  Just like my knitting and sewing projects, I have to make sure I finish one before I start another.  I try to give myself one fiction and one non-fiction and one knitting and one sewing project.  Melita

I'm reading Sit, Walk, Stand by Watchman Nee; Lord, Is It Warfare? Teach Me to Stand by Kay Arthur; To Serve Them All My Days by R.F. Delderfield and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne  Bronte.

The Delderfield book I usually read on breaks at work and the Bronte book I'm reading in small installments online.  I've tried reading one at a time, but there are so many I want to get to!

It's easy to overdo it, that's for sure!

I only read one book at a time.  If I start it, I will finish it.

I have several non-fiction books going at any given time.  I read them whenever I feel the urge ;-) Fiction books I usually read right through and finish--except for the one I keep in my van, in case I get caught w/o a book, which rarely happens, so I've been working on it for a year or longer!

I can only read 2 books at a time one non-fiction and one fiction.  If I try anymore than that I end up having to start all over again!!

I can only read one print book at a time, and have one audio going. Well...not at the EXACT same time, you all know what I mean :)

I can read one fiction and one non-fiction at the same time but not two fiction. I'll get confused on the plots and sometimes wondering why a character seems to have disappeared, and then realize because that person is in the other book.

I currently have 4 different fiction books going (and I also have the same problem with sewing projects--I have no idea how many of those that I've gotten started and haven't finished)--

The Book of God by Walter Warengin (sp?) which I've been reading forever because it's somewhere around 700 pages (it's basically The Bible as a novel); Demon by Tosca Lee; The Briton by Catherine Palmer; The Ishbane Conspiracy by Randy Alcorn

--I've been devoting more of my reading time lately to the latter one because I'm really enjoying it.  I hope to have it finished by the end of the week.

I haven't read much fiction lately but the non fiction books i read i may have 10 that i'm in various stages of reading to keep track of important parts and not have to reread the book i use these little sticky flags to mark pages I will come back to and take notes on or refresh my memory of later.

I can only read one fiction book at a time.  But I can read several study/self help Christian books at once.  Right now I have 3 on grief.  I read one, and get something.  The next time I may pick up another one.   Just depends on my mood and where I feel led.

Kay, I like the idea of having a "van book"! LOL!  I guess the book in my purse fills that bill!

I just made up a rule that I could only read 2 books at the same time. I had that problem of too many books started and it was getting on my nerves.
