Could you give me some recommendations about books where the hero falls in love with his sister’s best friend? But with a not too big age difference: I mean, not the big brother-little sister type of relationship.

Maybe it seems an a bit odd question, but am just curious because in most of the books it is vice-versa: the hero is in love with his best friend’s sister.

Dangerous Games by Lora Leigh comes to mind but if i remember correctly its both. The heroine is his sisters best friend and his best friends little sister.

Another one I can think of right away would be Just One of the Guys by Kristan Higgins.

I can think of two historical romances that sort of fit: The Wedding Trap by Tracy Ann Warren (she's the best friend of his sister-in-law) or England's Perfect Hero by Suzanne Enoch (she's the best friend of his sister-in-law).  Can't think of sister ones off the top of my head.  Or if you were looking for contemporary stories.

The Lady Most Likely just came out and one of the three heroes (the main one IMO since the book begins and ends with his story) falls in love with his sister's best friend.

Not sure if you like westerns, but I know several of the Diana Palmer books I've read have this theme of man with sister's best friend.

I thought of Julia Quinn first as well.  Two others that come to mind are:Once a Gentleman by Candice Hern and Priness Annie by Linda Lael Miller
