Has anyone put their shelf on hold because they are low on credits and just want to catch up on your TBR? I'm getting wish list offers and I'm really really low on credits. I don't want to lose my place in line for WL books so I'm wondering if this is a good way to catch up and replenish.

Yes Leticia, lots of people put their shelves on and off hold whenever they need to, either to catch up on TBR piles or because postage money is short.  The problem is that with your shelf on hold you won't get any orders so you won't be earning more credits.  You can always buy a few credits for those wish list books, or put your shelf on hold until you can find some more books to post to attract orders more quickly.

I have mine on hold right now.  I have a cross country move coming up and a huge stack of WL books to read. I don't need any books right now and I have a bunch of credits piled up.  So I put my shelf on hold to stop the WL offers from coming in for a while.  I was getting 1 or 2 a week and I don't have anywhere near 200 books on my WL.  I decided since I didn't need any credits and I don't have a huge shelf, I might as well put the whole thing on hold.  When I'm ready to post a WL book, I take my shelf off hold long enough to post the book.  Otherwise it wouldn't go on WL hold it would just sit on hold on my shelf.

If your books aren't moving, you could try offering a deal in the book bazaar. Say 2 or 3 books for 1 credit.  It doesn't really up the postage much and helps get rid of those books that are plentiful in PBS.  When there's a whole bunch of copies available, people tend to wait until they see a deal before they order them.  Just a thought.  I just wanted a chance to catch up on reading the WL books I already have, while they're still WL.

It looks kind of weird seeing no books enroute to me and only one request pending for me to send out.
