This new edition of the previously published work is a tribute to the author's wife, who died in a car crash while driving along the North Shore of Lake Superior. Both the author and his wife, Nadine, had worked on the original edition together and talked about re-issuing Border Country to give the original images "new life through the magic of digital imaging".
