I am so bored with working.  It's seriously cutting into my reading habit.  LOL!  Someone PLEASE help me get a paranormal fix while I'm at work and tell me about a paranormal book you are reading that I wish I was reading.  :)

LOL--  You are too funny.

I am reading Kiss of Midnight right now by Lara Adrian.  It is the first in a series, and seems  alot like the JR Ward books ---  male warrior vamps living together, fighting off bad group of Rogue vamps --  head vamp finds perfect " Breedmate" ( almost sounds too much like breedmare, eh?).  It is ok.  I don't like it as much as JR Ward's, but I will probably go on to read the next couple in the series(especially since I have them).

You could go to  Stephanie Meyers site and read the first couple of chapters of Edwards book -- very good.

last night i read The Devil You Know by Jenna Black, which is second in the Morgan Kingsley, Exorcist series.  both of the books were very good, and i'm looking forward to the third later this year.

Heehee -- I'm reading the same series as Rachel!  I'm on Lara Adrian's second book, Kiss of Crimson.  I thought the first one was pretty good, but I agree -- not quite as good as Ward's books but worth reading.  But then it took me until the second book to really get into the Blackdagger Brotherhood series, and so far Kiss of Crimson seems better than the first one too!  I just started it so we'll see.

Let's see, I've recently finished Breaking Dawn (shocker there!), Sebastian by Anne Bishop (a little more on the fantasy side, but still pretty paranormal-y), The Devil's Right Hand (the third Dante Valentine book) by Lilith Saintcrow, and The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong.  They were all great -- I'd tell anybody to dig in!

Thanks guys.  You're awesome!  By the way, when work isn't interfering, I'm reading Eternal Pleasure by Nina Bangs too.  I might get bored with working again today so keep 'em coming.  LOL!!!

I'm in the process of reading You Slay Me by Katie Macalister, the first in her Aisling Grey Guardian Series.  I can't seem to put it down..it just keeps making me laugh.  I'd have to say that Aisling is a VERY funny character, and uses alot of vocabulary that you'd find me saying.  I'm also quite fond of her demon dog, Jim, he's just hilarious.  My family thinks I'm nuts, because I'll just burst out laughing while I'm reading it.  I'm loving this book...and can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Oh, and I'd have to agree with Alexis about the J.R. Ward books.  I just recently finished the second book in that series, and LOVED it...far more than I enjoyed the first.  Rhage just sounds hot..lol..and he's a great character.  I can't wait to read the next one in that series too.

Another one I'd have to recommend..is Christina Dodd's Darkness Chosen Series.  I've read the first 3 so far, and LOVED them...the 3rd being my favorite.  I guess I liked that one the most because the brother was a rebel...and rebels are just hot, lol.  Not to mention he was a sleek black panther, gorgeous!

I just finished Night Child by Jes Battis - consider it an Urban Fantasy and really enjoyed it's take on magic, necromancer, vampire, demons.  I hadn't run across any that I would consider it similar to.  Hopefully there will be more, as in a series, but haven't seen anything about more coming out.

Ellen -- i finished the first by Jenna Black -- the Demon inside -- and really liked it -- I have the second one coming -- can't wait.

I am now on the the third in the Lara Adrian series -- I finished the Kiss of Midnight and Kiss of Crimson, and now I am on Midight Awakening.  They are pretty good, although I do keep drawing comparisons to JR Ward's series.  Each book takes a different male to follow.  I don't know that I like the male's as much as I  like JR Ward's guys, but then I think I like the women more, so it probably balances out.

Rachel, good to hear you're mostly liking the Lara Adrian books.  i've got all four on my TBR pile but haven't managed to get to them yet.

I'm reading Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost and LOVING it!!  Such fun sarcastic characters!

I recently finished the Ripple Creek Werewolf series by Keri Arthur and I was impressed with it as well :-)

I would LOVE to find more books like Katie McAlister. Love the Aisling Gray series, loved all her books. But since I can read faster than she can write I need some other suggestions. I love the humor in her books, kind of the paranormal Janet Evanovich.
