Poe and Tilly are among my all time favorite fictional characters. I love this series. Having said that, I didn't enjoy this one as much as the previous books in the series. I haven't warmed up to Flynn. She's an annoying character for me, a bit of a man-hating know it all. I would prefer more of Poe and Tilly, less of Flynn. The Botanist was a dark, clever villain and plot and mystery were well done as always. I am warming up to Doyle and curious to see what develops there. The other thing that took away from this book for me was the political innuendos of the victims. I think it would have been far better to leave political rantings out of a clever plot. I read to escape such preachy politics and I hope future books will focus more on the characters we have come to love and less on political views.
