"Confess what?"
"The murder of Steve Drury," the sheriff said. "Maybe you've heard he's the son of the biggest man in the territory."
"And how did I do it?"
"Gun. Yours. Got your initials on it. You fought, he licked you and tied you up, but you broke loose and got the gun and shot him."
