hi all, sorry if this has been asked before. I was thinking about reading the bourne series from the beginning. I have 3 questions though-are the books radically different than the movies and can I just start reading the new bourne books with the new character aaron cross, or I wouldn't understand it? lastly does the series have an end point, or did Jason bourne get an ending? thanks!

Evelyn, I read the first Jason Bourne books by Robert Ludlum and thought they were wonderful at the time.  I say that because I had them when they were first published.  I personally was very disappointed in the movie I saw.  That parts followed the book but there were parts that, well... for the movie.

I know I read three by Robert Ludlum and have never read them beyond that so I'm not much help that way.

From what I remember the first movie mostly follows the book plotwise, though the specifics differ.  From the second movie on the story disregards the books in favor of a completely new plot.  Still, the books are a good read.
