Helpful Score: 1
"The Bourne Ultimatum" is the third and final novel in the Bourne series, and while not as good as its predecessors, is still worth reading, particularly with the movie soon to be released. Ultimately, this book is a decent ending to the series. It wasn't as exciting as the first two, but it's still a good story, and a decent end to the trilogy...

Ata smaalltime carnival onear Baltimore two men summoned by telegram witness a killing. THe telegran is signed JASON BOURNE and the two men aghast at the murder they have be called to witness are more alarmed when they realize why they were summoned. Excellent book with lots of twists.

This is the third and last book of Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne series, and he ends the trilogy on a high. While the "Bourne Supremacy" was clearly off the pace of the series' first book, this last one has it all. After going off on an Asian advneture/nightmare in Book 2, the third installment now brings Jason Bourne/David Webb to the ultimate showdown with his nemesis Carlos the Jackal. But don't fool yourself that this is a straightforward kind of deal: Medusa is raising its ugly head again as well, this dark chapter in Bourne's past having taken on a new manifestation in an even more dangerous form. Of course Bourne/Webb does not go hunting alone, his courageous wife as well as Mo Panov and Alex Conklin add their usual character color to this well conceived page turner. Once again the character of David Webb/Jason Bourne as the tormented split identity is exquisitely drawn and is not run thin by the breackneck pace of the globe-spanning action.
A must-read and very gratifying end to one of the best spy/suspense trilogies there is!

As we all know... the book is better than the movie. Even if you have already seen it on video, the book is still worth the read. Many details and aspects of the plot not covered in the movie make the book well worth your precious reading time.

Not at all like the movie, but very good. It's centers on Jason Bourne in Asia. Very enjoyable. It is the 2nd in the Bourne series. Read this after you read the Bourne Identity

I can't claim to have been able to follow all the political understories in this trilogy, but all three were great stories with characters that made you want to know how they were going to make out in the end.

The 3rd in the series of Bourne books, this one holds lots of excitement and adventure for Jason Bourne and his family. As Bourne hunts down the Jackal, who's also hunting him, he encounters new characters who wants to help him and hurt him. Enjoy the story as it travels around the world with Bourne and some aging agents from the FBI. Great book to take on vacation.

The last of the Bourne trilogy- it pits Jason Bourne (who is now a husband and father who has put his violent past behind him) against his enemy 'The Jackal' for a final time. The first two were made into movies (although they were changed completely for Hollywood, unfortunately) this one may be too. If you like Ludman, this is one of his best.

Another Bourne adventure. If you have only seen the movies you might be a little lost. Hard to get into but once your hooked a good read. (Matt Damon was perfect for the role of the young Bourne but can't see him in this adventure)

The Bourne books aren't as good as the movies made from them. While no movie has been made of this one, I would almost wait instead.

At a small-town carnival two men, each mysteriously summoned by telegram, witness a bizarre killing. The telegrams are signed Jason Bourne. Only they know Bourne's true idenity and understand the telegram is really a message from Bourne's mortal enemy, Carlos, known also as the Jackal, the world's deadliest and most elusive terrorist.
