I was looking at the Box O Books information. I noticed while it had History, it did not have a genre Historical Fiction. Have any of you used this service and can you tell me your opinions (pros and cons) of it? The one drawback I saw right away was that if you don't earn any 'credits' by swapping boxes, you will eventually use up your credits on account that you would want to have when a great book you'd been waiting for from your Wish List came in. And that you may in fact end up 'settling' for so-so books that weren't really the ones you wanted from your Wish List?

I did BOB for awhile, but I stopped. I was accumulating way too many books way too fast, and as you said, I was picking books I was only vaguely interested in just to make the swaps come out even. I think it would work great, though, for people who need several books in series to get them that way rather than spending a credit for each. |

I did BOB for the first year it was available, but I didn't renew because I have too many books, and I'm at the point where most of what I want is wishisted. I was also doing as Felicia said and getting books I didn't really want just to complete a swap. I didn't like disappointing someone over books that I wanted to get rid of anyway. I do think BOB is fabulous for someone who is relatively new and still wants lots of the books that are available in the system. |

I am in my first year of doing BOB. I like it as I had WAAAAY too many books piling up. I do not initiate too many myself, so when I get a request I just order 1 or 2 from their shelf, regardless of how many they order. I am wanting to get rid of books, not add to my already never ending TBR pile!!! |
