ooops, pushed the button twice. What can I do?

Is there any way to have a separate section just for the Box O Books? I mean what if you prefer to work with Box O Books only?

What if you want to focus just on hardcover books?

Greg, there is no way to only swap Box-O-Books.  When you post books here on PBS, you are agreeing to send them when they are requested, either by a single book at a time, or by the box-load if you're into boxing.

Not sure what you mean by focusing on hardcover books -- if you only want hardcovers, then only request hardcovers.

With regard to your double post, use edit on one of the posts to change the subject line to something like "Double Post -- please ignore"

You can add a note to your siggy line Greg...Boxer looking for deals on hardcover books.  *sign* obviously I've no writting skills, but other members come up with fabulous suggestions!

When I was a Boxer, I had on my Bookshelf header that I had no interest in children's books, category romances and unabridged audiobooks and audios on cassette and to please not make be BOB offers if that's all you have on your shelf.  Because I was getting a lot of BOB offers from people who wanted my unabriged CD audiobooks and had nothing but abridged cassettes or who asked me for thick full length books and then had nothing but little romances and kids books.

So anyway you could try that.  Putting a bookshelf header that you are only interested in hardcovers when doing box of books deals.  Although that might be a turn off for some people if you have nothing but mmps posted.

There is no way to only do Box of Books trades other than declining any book orders you get-which means you have to repost the book.  Also PBS frowns on people who cancel a lot.  I don't know if putting yourshelf on vacation also puts BOB on vacation.

I was on Vacation Hold and couldn't do Box of Books.

My workaround to use Box of Books:

  1. Put all my books on hold (not vacation hold--its a button on your bookshelf)
  2. Posted a few to remain active.
  3. Browse Box of Books.
  4. If you find several PM the person with a list of books you have on Hold to see if they are interested.
  5. The Box of Books person would need to put the books on their wishlist on auto request so that you can post them to them.

Just be aware that when you place individual books on hold on your BOOKSHELF, you are stepping out of the "sending" line for those books.  When you repost them, you'll start out at the end of the line.

Individual book WISHLIST hold, however, keeps your spot in line.

Box of Books is intended to be used without credits.  If you post WL books to them then they'll have to use credits.  Box of Books is intended for non-WL books to be traded without credits.  So posting WL books directly to a boxer to do a BOB deal defeats the purpose.  It would create a regular PBS WL transaction and not a BOB transaction.
