Okay, so I have looked everywhere I can think of on this site and cannot find out if when you sign up for B-o-B if someone requests a box of books do you HAVE to find books from them that you want? What if the person requesting has nothing I want??

Yes, I am totally new to the Box-O-Books bit.

Blossom--You don't have to accept a offer if they don't have anything you want.

As Laura said, you are perfectly free to decline.

Here is info on both accepting and declining: (Click on the blue link, then on the top help doc)

Some people feel like they have to accept every BOB deal. But don't feel guilty if you turn people down. I never do a BOB deal if they have nothing I want just to do the deal.  I just decline with a polite "sorry but I don't see anything on your shelf that I want"

Like Mary, I turn the request down if I can't find anything I want/need. If they want a bunch, sometimes I offer a credit deal along with the polite declination, usually something along the lines of "I'm sorry I can't find anything at this time."

If I dont find anything, I will offer the other member a 2 for 1 credit deal if they would like to order them from my shelf through regular channels. Sometimes I will only find one I would like and will do uneven BoBs also. Especially if they are ordeing small paperbacks. It doesnt cost more to mail 3 than it does to mail 1. It depends on how badly I want to move the books. If they are going to sit on my shelf for months and months, then sending them to someone who wants them is a win-win for me.
