I was thinking I would like to join Box O Books at some point, but don't have very many books on my bookshelf right now. What would be a good number of books to have before joining Box O Books?

Hi Shelli- There's no set number of books to have to join BOB but the more books you have, the more someone else will be able to look through and be more apt to trade with you. I'd say (just my opinion) a minimum of 10 or 20 books to join. I'd post as many books as you can though, most BoBers have a large number of books to trade. Check out some BoBers shelves and you'll get an idea. |

Whatever you do-don't go out a buy a bunch of cheap books you would never read just to be a boxer. If you say are a mystery fan and go out and load yourshelf up with romances because you found them cheap somewhere-that's what the shelves of most of the boxers you get offers from will have as well. You'll turn down a lot of Bob Offers. You don't have to have a big shelf. I rarely have more than 20 books posted and I still a bob or 2 here and there when I had my BOB account. I never made any BOB offers though or I probably could have done more. I just accepted some that were made to me. When you first sign up you will get a lot of offers-you don't have to accept them if they don't have books you want. I will probably rejoin when I make a dent in MT TBR. I only have like 10 books posted now and 500 unread books. So I need to read some more of those before I rejoin. |
