Welcome to the May edition of my boxer thread. I've roamed and could not find a place specifically for boxers to advertise. So here we are.
Please do not mind the bumps, I will invite each boxer to post in a fresher thread later to better consolodate it. The concept seems new for boxers so it will take a few tries to really get one going in full force. :)

In your Post:

  • First , advertise your shelf. Genres you specialize in, some major series/ authors, etc, to draw interest.
  • If applicable, add any deals you do when boxing. (2 for 1 romances, audios counting as 1 book, unpostables, etc)
  • And finally, list genres, series, etc YOU are looking for in a box swap. That way those with matching shelves to your needs can be confident in making an offer. :)

My shelf has a variety of genres, currently with a special focus on romance, parenting, and mystery/thrillers. I restock at least once a week right now. I do currently have some manga and some quickstudy charts on my shelf.

I am looking for lots of things, particularly pokemon (as I run a pokemon league Saturdays), pet care, paranormal romance, and American History. But because my family runs a new and used bookstore I can typically find other books for friends and regulars as well when shelf browsing. So this list is not exclusive

My shelf has: Chick Lit, romance, suspense and some parenting stuff.

I am looking for chick lit, romance lit.

Deals: currently I am trying to unload my whole shelf in one box to 1. clear some space and 2. save on shipping. I was offering it for 4 credits. Please, only Bobs with atleast 2 books, preferably more. I restock about once a week if not more often as I read a lot while nursing. We are non-smoking but have a 17 month old, 3 month old, 1 dog, 3 cats, 5 chickens and 8 chicks plus one stray cat. I read indoors and outdoors and while the animals don't read, the toddler loves books and is often caught carrying mine around. My books do come from all sources though and I cannot guarantee where they were before they came through my door.

My shelf has mystery/thrillers,  cookbooks,  chick lit,  and a wide variety of misc. types.

I have over 250 books on the shelf - as Elizabeth stated - my books come from all sources and I can't guarantee where they were before they came through me door either.  Most of them are in good to excellent shape.  Will be adding more on Saturday.

I am willing to do uneven swaps, for example, if you want 5 books I may only order 3 from you and that's okay.

My shelf currently has:

1.  a lot of Harlequin and Harlequin Intrigue that I am trying to get rid of.

2.  Childrens books

3.  Christian fiction which are either duplicates from my rural library or ones I have read.

4.  some mysteries.

Most have come from thriftshops and trades on Paperback swap.

I am looking mostly for Christian books for my Helensbooknook (rural library). I have alot so am more selective than normal but will always trade it you have some. If I do not see

anything on your shelf I will always offer a deal for credits so come look!

I also have my entire rural library on www.gurulib.com/Helensbooknook and though many are not listed on PBS I might be willing to trade some of these. Anything on the garage sale shelf should be

listed on PBS.

I've got a very eclectic shelf of almost 300 books.  Many mystery/suspense, some romance, a few non-fiction, 'cozies', chic-lit, you name it.  Mostly paperbacks, but a few hardbacks and some childrens'. I don't read the Harlequin type romances, but I do have some for those readers who like that genre, so prefer not to trade with Boxers who have only that type books. This is a smoke-free home with 2 cats who do roam and have been known to sleep on a pile of books.  I get my books from many different sources, hence don't know past histories as far as exposure to smoke or pets. If allergies are a problem, you might want to pm me first.  I add new books often, as I finish reading one or find interesting ones at thrift stores, flea markets, yard sales, etc.  I don't send books that I would not want to receive myself, no unpostables unless requested from my unpostable list on my profile page.

For non-Boxers who may happen to read this post, I always have a deal going.  3 for 1 or 5 for 2 on paperbacks, 2 for 1 on hardbacks and 4 for 1 on childrens'.

Happy reading, everyone!! I love PBS!!

I'm brand new to Box O Books and I love it!   I have a lot of books on my bookshelf ... mostly mysteries, thrillers, romantic suspense, a little bit of everything except kids books.

I do have indoor cats.  They don't read my books, but occasionally they will sit with me while I do the reading.  :-)

I also have a question....  how do you get a rating if the ones you send a box to won't give you one?

hi! my shelf is diverse.  romance, mystery, christian fiction & non, popular authors--nora roberts, mary higgins clark, the kellerman's.

i usually read books by the same author (i love series) so i'll post a lot of books at one time by the same author.

occasionally friends give me books to post that aren't my style (e.g. vampire stories) so i have those from time to time also.

i don't mind boxing for odd amounts, you want 3 & i want 2, etc. i have 905 books to read so i really don't need any  books, but i'm always looking!

i don't think i've ever turned down a box offer so check out my shelf.

thanks, bev

Bumping up. Next weekend will be a refreshed thread and those here will be invited to join to clear out bumps between active boxers :)
