Okay, you don't really have to boycott BCO, but you can join me this morning in sending mean thoughts their way. ;-)

I woke up this morning to find six wishlist notifications from BCO in my email. Yay, right?! So, I nearly break my fingers while trying to quickly click my way to nab these books. I go for the 1st one and it's not there, but that's okay, there are five more. On to the 2nd book! Not there. Odd, but maybe they only had a few copies. Onward to that 3rd book, but it's not there either. Now, I'm getting anxious. I check for the 4th, 5th, and 6th books, but no dice. None of those books were on the BCO website!! Not one, I tell ya.

WHY ARE THEY TEASING ME LIKE THIS? It's mean. Mean!

I just might have to send them a grouchy letter. That'll show 'em.

Well, I guess I'll go hug and fondle one of my lovely, filled to the top bookcases to make myself feel better.........

Is that Book Closeouts?  You have a wishlist at a bookstore?

Yep. Do other people not have wishlists at book stores? Is that weird? If that's too weird, then, no, I don't have a wishlist there. And, if that is weird, I definitely don't have a wishlist at the used book store here in town. Nope, not me.

:-D

I have WL's at Bookcloseouts, Amazon, B&N, Book Depository and half.com.  I hope BCO can explain the cruelty because I really don't want to be mad at them.

I have a WL at Amazon too, but they are just books I would LIKE to buy if I ever had the money.  They aren't something they notify me about.  Were these all new releases or something?

I'm with Donna... I have wishlists at any place that allows you to have a wishlist. In fact, I'm pretty sure that my wishlists have spawned their own  wishlists.

I love the BCO one the best though. Oh, and I adore the ones that let you know when a book on your wishlist has been listed in your price range.

I have a hard enough time keeping up with my WL at PBS.  Having WL's at multiple outlets??? no no no  that would just be too much for my brain to handle.  I would surely end up with about six copies of every book!

They were all for books that were released pretty recently. A couple from this past year and some from 2008. One was a UK book that hasn't been released here yet. That's the main reason I love my BCO wishlist - They get tons of UK and Canada books, so I can get books I want way before they ever hit the shelves here. I love that.

Holy S--t  Valli! I didn't know they did that! I only have a WL at Amazon. You will have to divulge more, but, that's okay - if you want us to boycott BCO I guess (knuckles in teeth) that I will do so also!!

Christa, my brain is a  finely-tuned wishlisting machine. There is the occasional backfire though and I end up with multiple copies of the same book.

Okay, maybe the machine isn't as finely tuned as I would like, lol.

LOL, Jeanne! The BCO wishlist is the shizzle. You can boycott them after you make your new wishlist. ;-)

Just do searches for the ISBN's or author names of the books on your wishlist here and when you get the "Not Found" screen,  click the "Add this item to our wishlist tool" button. If the book is ever available, you'll get an email.

I'll have you all just as obsessive and anal as I am before you know it!! Woo-Hoo!

Well, this morning, I found new wishlist notices in my email from BCO regarding the same books they emailed about before, but didn't actually have in stock. I just checked and they have the books this time!! They've already been carted and ordered.

I can now fully trust and believe in my BCO wishlist again. All is right in my world. :-D

Glad to hear that things are going right again with BCO, Valli. I am restraining myself from that WL they have - for now!

Does that mean our nasty vibes were successful??? So happy that the stars are now aligned in your world Valli. Of course, I assume that you will post and share these books with us if they are good!

Oh, well, Vicky, you are really going to love the newest addition to my book room! On Sunday, my hubby added little spotlights on the corners of some shelving so that I can easily read the spines of the books.

Now, I can point all of those spotlights at myself and showcase the fondling!!!!!!!!!

I gotta get some sequins!!!

See, just the phrase "book word" sends me off into a world of fantastical daydreams. Gosh, I want my own library/reading room! Nothing fancy, just a room for my bookshelves and my desk, plus a cozy chair or two for reading. I'd even share with DH and let him have his computer desk in there as well (though hearing his "shoot em up" type computer games while I'm trying to read would sort of defeat the purpose)!

Today, my love for BooksCloseOuts.com has been renewed! They had BOTH of Pauline Gedge's new books; The Seer of Egypt and The Twice Born.

Woo-Hoo!!!! Oh, happy day!!!!

I also saw that they had ONE copy of an Elizabeth Chadwick book; "The Wild Hunt" for $3.99.

Now, don't you feel bad that you started this thread, Valli. BTW, I picked up Child of the Morning at the UBS the other day (an oldie but it good shape).

I 'm going to assume that you have read it. Sooo.... tell me, did you like it?
