I am not sure how to handle a boxed set. I have a brand new hardcover boxed set of the Twilight series. It will be quite expensive to ship and would fetch a good price on ebay. I would, however, rather exchange it for a box of chick lit and lad lit books, possibly through the box-o-books. Could someone please tell me how to handle a boxed set/expensive collection and if this is a proper way to post interest in exchanging it for this genre. Open for suggestions on what to do! Thanks! |

If they are WL books then there's no way to post them and have them used for Box of books. They immediately get offered to WLers. Also you have to be a Boxer to use Box of Books. You aren't supposedto make deals that don't involve credits unless you do it through BOB. Because then PBS has no control over things if the deal goes wrong. I learned this lesson the hardway when I first joined. Luckily it was only for 2 books. Someone asked me to do an under the table deal. She never sent my books. I didn't know what BOB was then. You can search Boxer shelves without being a member though. So you could search for some books that you are looking for and if someone has several-you can PM them. If they are interested you could always sign up to be a boxer and then immediately make them a BOB offer. But like I said you'd have to make sure those books weren't WL before you posted them. You might also want to put your regular bookshelf on hold so they don't get ordered while you are negotiating the BOB deal. Personally-I would offer them up in the book bazaar for 1 credit per book and the box as the freebie if someone wants to order them all from you. You can't ask for more than 1 credti per book and you can't ask for a credit for the box. Last Edited on: 4/14/09 12:11 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
