Bravo, Amelia Bedelia!
Bravo Amelia Bedelia
Author: Herman Parish
She's got the beat!Even though Amelia Bedelia can't play a musical instrument, she plays a big part in the school concert. She is just as happy with flattening a bee as with a B flat, and her favorite wind instrument is an electric fan. But no one can beat Amelia Bedelia when it comes to making a drum roll -- especially hen she's inside the drum!

The literalism is cute (trying to play a violin "by ear" and getting one's hair tangled in it) for little kids.

Be aware, though, it has a LOT of words. And you are going to get really tired of saying "Amerlia Bedelia" since the character is never referred to in the text by anything other then her full name. Or maybe that was just me.

It is a bit long for the under 3 crowd. By 6 it was too easy for our girl, but she wasn't really ready to part with it til 7.
