I am in love with this book. I am in love with Greg Keyes. I must have this series. Anyone else read it? No spoilers please as I am getting these from the library so it may take a while. |

So, because I am in need of a new, well-written fantasy series... tell me why this is so good!

I think it's good because it focuses more on nature and I dig the character development. It doesn't involve orcs (not that i mind those) and it isn't very Tolkienesque. The writing is smart and funny. |

It is (to me) fairly light reading, with plenty of wit and humor to keep the pages turning, and characters one falls immediately in love with. :) |

Greg Keyes is one of my few keeper authors. I haven't finished that series, but it's waiting for me on my bookshelf. I liked The Waterborn, too. |
