I traded credits for this book because of the 4 stars & reviews. What a disappointment! It's a "romance" novel, I guess--could've been written by a teenager in the 50s, so immature is the story, the characters, the plot. No resemblance to what would be real life for a single mother librarian starting over....and no development of the characters beyond cardboard cutout stereotypes.
There should be some indication it was a romance novel, one of the genres I have excluded in my preferences.
Clean, fast read, This was a quaint story. I enjoyed getting to know the people from Hard Luck. I liked the character development in this story and I enjoyed how the romance was sweet. I look forward to the rest of the series.
