This book had the potential to be something extraordinary. However, the character development is weak, the story is cliched, and there is just not enough substance to keep a reader interested. While the subject matter is disturbing (the death of a teen) and real, the book tries to do too much at one time. In the end, I felt as though I still did not understand the message of the storyline. Plus, the characters were not people who I grasped, understood, or even cared about. Despite the hype, I found this work to be a letdown.

I absolutely loved this story; finished it in a day. I had been a little reluctant at first, but Lara Zeises has created an amazing voice for Bridget. It really is a touching story about the loss of a loved one, moving on without forgetting them, and learning that you can't depend on others for your own happiness.

There were also several twists; just when you think you know how it's going to end, Zeises throws a curveball, allowing the reader to be just as interested in the ending as the beginning.
