The British Library General Catalogue of Printed Books: Supplement 1993-1994 : Microfiche
The British Library General Catalogue of Printed Books Supplement 19931994 Microfiche Author:The British Library Since the 18th century, copyright stipulations have required that one copy of every book published in the UK be deposited in the British Library. The Library also collects publications from all parts of the world, and from all branches of knowledge, only 50% of which are in English. This supplement, on microfiche, includes all publications recei... more »ved by the Library during 1993-1994, with full bibliographical details including: all authors, editors and corporate bodies, as prescibed by Anglo-American cataloguing rules; all titles; and all persons, corporate bodies and publications as subjects. These entries are marked with an asterisk. The General Catalogue is updated with regular supplements covering the acquisition periods of two or more years. Its records originate from two sources: for nearly all British publications the records are based on those used for the production of "The British National Bibliography" and its cumulations. Records for most overseas publications are generated by the Library's specialist curators, and some are based on records supplied by external agencies, such as the Online Computer Library Center and the Library of Congress. This further supplement to "The British Library General Catalogue of Printed Books, 1976-1992", will also be available in a multi-volume hard copy edition in early 1996.« less
