I am seeking to add friends to my list who enjoy British & Nordic mysteries.  If you are a gold key member, I can post books directly to you and I do that quite often as I carry a number of recent releases as well as oldies.  Send me an invitation and I shall accept!  Thank you!

BTW, we are nonsmokers but do get books from outside sources.  I do not buy any books that smell smoky and the ones I get from PBS that smell smoky, I do not repost them.

Hi, Priscilla!  We are already friends on here but those are my current favorites too!  I'm also finding a lot of Scottish noir lately!

Hi Sharon!!  I have not seen any Scottish noir.  Can you give me a few author's names, please?

Denise Mina, Val McDermid, Ian Rankin, Stuart McBride...these are Scottish authors who come to mind right away. I'm sure there are more.

Thank you for doing this. I, too, am a gold key member. I'm not a particular fancier of the dark, dark noir, but some have been quite mysterious! Please, add my name to the list.    m'ann

Just sent you an invitation...love the British mysteries.  I tend toward contemporary ones, while my husband loves the historical ones,  Marla

yes Val McDermid

Damn good mystery writer, and a favorite of Mikael Blomkvist.

Just finished my first book by McDermid - Blue Genes. I'll be seeking out more!  My favorite writer in this genre is probably Tana French - she's such a breath of fresh air in mystery/detective fiction. I've also really enjoyed Hakan Nesser's Inspector Van Veeteren series.
