I was looking at my Buddy List and noticed that some people had their buddly "box" turned off.  So you couldn't see who their buddies were.

I wanted to see how you did that and I suppose I just don't see it but I can't figure out how to make any changes to my Buddy List. 

Assistance please.

Pity sake it's there in the settings page under Privacy Settings.

It took me a while to find it and to me the help docs sure weren't a help in this case.  I felt like a dummy reading them.

Let's see...  From the times on your posts it took you 21 minutes to find it.  Considering that there's things on PBS some members who've been here a year or more and haven't found yet (myself inculded) I'd say you're doing pretty good.  <grin>

True, 21 minutes of sitting here and getting frustrated because I had seen it before!

My eyes just weren't seeing Privacy Settings, I swear the Help docs were gibberish as well!

But, I found it and did what I wanted to do.  HIp, hip hooray!

I have a question. On my buddy list, for each buddy it shows, pm-give credits-bookshelf-wish list. When I look at my buddies' lists by my name it shows only my bookshelf and wishlist. Why doesn't mine show pm and give credits?

I don't use the Buddy Lists a lot, but it seems to me that you have the option to PM or give credits to your buddies because you may want to do that.  But when you look at your friend's buddy list, you can't PM yourself or give credits to yourself, nor force them to do the same.  However, I assume that when they're looking at their own buddy list, they have the option to PM you or give you credits.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was wondering if that was the case. I'm sure it is. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something that I was doing differently in my privacy controls.
