What is the buddy list?  What are the advantages of having buddies?

Hi the buddy list can be great...for instance I only post WLed books nowdays and thus I look at all my buddies lists first....then I go FIFO or post in special forums to save postage..say I have 3 WLED books.....I wish we could  lump them into how we interact with them cause some people are just friends...some are just like me but we don't read the same type of books...it would make it faster for me to scan through them

Edited to add..I think some people use them in the games forum but I don't know as I don't play the games

You can label the buddies so you know why they are on your list.  That is called a Tag.  So you can set it up to PM all the buddies in a certain tag group.  Which is great if you are in a game or are offering a deal.

I also use my buddy list to find the Wish list and bookshelves of folks I know have similar reading interests.  So when I post a WL book, I'll check the WL of folks who have offered me deals in the past.  Sort of a reminder list of people rather than books.  I know these folks are often on line, I can even see if they are on line before I post a book.  This cuts down on books rolling over.
