A cute story about Hermie collecting things to fill his basket from his friends in the garden: 1 enormous pine cone, 2 juicy blueberries, 3 stinky onions, etc. As the basket gets fuller and fuller, Wormie begins to worry, and sure enough, the addition of 9 purple grapes proves to be too much and the basket tips over. But no matter! Hermie just shares all the treasures in the basket which then become a picnic for his 10 helpful friends! My 5 yr old son loves this book!
